Chianti DOCG La Ginestra
This is a Chianti of controlled and guaranteed denomination. The wine making process is respectful of the old traditional Tuscan metods. Two types of grapes make up this wine, namely: Sangiovese and Canaiolo. Chianti 'La Ginestra' is a brillant ruby red wine which turns to a garnet colour as it ages. Its dry and aromatic taste becomes soft and velvety with a light violet aroma with ageing.
Vine variety: 90% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo
Soil: Fairly fertile, rich in calcium and organic components, very permeable.
Harvest: mid October with baskets of 20 Kg
Yield per hectare: 7 tons of grapes equal to 60 hectoliters of wine
Winemaking process: Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation conducted with innovative techniques and carried out at a controlled temperature.
Evolution/Ageing: 8 months in cement vats, 6 months in oak casks of Slavonic origin, ageing in bottles before selling
Technical features: Alcohol 13% by volume
Tasting temperature: 18-20 degrees centigrade
Best served with: Pasta with tomato sauce, Tuscan soups, white and red meat. Ideal wine to serve with all dishesWINE CARD
