This is a highly distinguished wine, obtained through a wine making process of well matured grapes. Aged in French casks, it acquires a touch of elegance and it is left to rest for long periods in the bottle before being placed on the market. Notes of black cherry and sour cherry blended with hints of spice and leather

Vine variety: 100% Sangiovese

Soil: calcareous and poor, mainly limy, marly and rather permeable.

Harvest: during the second part of October

Yield per hectare: 8 tons of grapes equal to 55 hectoiters of wine

Wine making process: Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation conducted with innovative techniques and carried out at a controlled temperature

Evolution/Ageing: six months in cement vats with frequent pourings, six months in French oak barriques (second passage) and three months in the bottle before selling

Technical features: Alcohol 13% by volume

Tasting temperature: 18-20 degrees centigrade

Best served with: red meats, game and strong cheeses
