Fattoria Le Bocce
Il Paladino - Rosso Toscano IGT
This superb red wine is obtained from the Sangiovese grapes grown by "Fattoria Le Bocce". The vineyards are located in the ancient domain of "Vigna del Paladino" in Panzano, in the heart of the production area of the Chianti Classico. The wine is refined and carefully prepared, first in barriques and finally in bottle. Notes of small red fruits (blueberries, blackberries),, with spicy notes due to the wood. Feelings of tannins that blend with a pleasant softness and volume.
Vine variety: 100% Sangiovese
Soil: calcareous and poor with a high percentage of marl and lime very permeable
Harvest: by hand with baskets of 20 kilograms in the second half of October
Yield per hectare: 5 tons of grapes equal to 33 hectoliters of wine
Winemaking process: Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation conducted with innovative techniques and carried out at a controlled temperature
Evolution/Ageing: 4 months in cement vats, 12 months in oak barriques of Slavonic origin (first passage), 12 months in cement vats. Ageing in bottle before selling.
Technical features: Alcohol 13% by volume.
Tasting temperature: 18-20 degrees centigrade
Best served with: Roast meat, game and seasoned cheeses
