Chianti Classico DOCG Le Bocce
This wine is produced in the heart of the Chianti Classico area, in a village called Panzano 5 Km from the town of Greve. The Black Rooster quality trademark is the best guarantee for this unique Chianti Classico "Le Bocce". This wine is rich in bouquet, fruity with a touch of violet, blackberry and iris at maturity, with a distinctive vanilla aroma, a direct result of ageing in oak casks. The taste is dry and robust at first, becoming progressively gentler as years go by, still maintaining a well balanced and generous character.
Vine variety: 95% Sangiovese, 5% Cannaiolo.
Soil: calcareous and poor with a high percentage of marl and lime, very permeable.
Harvest: by hand with baskets of 20 Kilograms in the second half of October.
Yield per hectare: 7 tons of grapes equal 50 hectoliters of wine.
Wine making process: Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation conducted with innovative techniques and carried out at a controlled temperature
Evolution/Ageing: the wine is kept in cement vats for 6 months, in big oak caks of Slavonic origin for 12 months and in bottles for 3 months before selling
Technical features: alcohol 13% by volume
Tasting temperature: 18-20 degrees centigrade
Best served with: heavy dishes of red meats in strong sauces and with game food in general. Perfect for Tuscany traditional dishes such as boiled meats, 'Cibreo', 'Lampredotto'.WINE CARD
